Team Kermit was formed in 2004 by the Branfman family in honor of their son, Jared. Jared passed away in 2005. Later that year they established the Jared Branfman Sunflowers For Life Fund For Pediatric Brain And Spinal Cancer Research at the Jimmy Fund.
